Camping Acedo participates in environmental education workshops at campsites in Navarre

At Camping Acedo we believe that enjoying nature goes hand in hand with caring for it. That is why we recently participated in an initiative Environmental education at campsites in Navarra, organized by the Office of Sustainability together with seven other accommodations in the Campings Navarra network.

Between September 3 and 11, they were held Once workshops in different establishments, with the collaboration of the company Vermican. The goal has been to raise awareness among both the staff at the campsites and the tourists themselves about the importance of recycling. waste management and Community composting.

Learning and implementing sustainability

At Camping Acedo we hosted one of these workshops, where key topics were discussed in a practical and participatory way, such as:

  • How to separate and valorize organic matter.
  • Advantages of community composting.
  • Good practices for reducing and properly managing waste.

The attendees — both guests staying at the campsite and members of the camping team — were able to learn, share experiences, and take away ideas applicable to their daily lives. In total, more than forty people of all ages participated in the set of workshops held at the various campsites.

As a continuation, we leave you a video of the workshops:

A very positive assessment

The response could not have been better: the workshops received an average rating of 4.63 out of 5 in composting y 4.92 out of 5 in waste management. This reflects not only the interest of those who participated, but also the need to continue promoting this type of initiative that helps build a more sustainable tourism.

Our commitment at Camping Acedo

As a campsite located in the heart of Tierra Estella, surrounded by nature, we are aware that sustainability is a fundamental part of our activity. Participating in this project is a further step in our commitment to caring for the environment and to conveying to our visitors the importance of doing so together.

These workshops are part of the Grants for environmental education projects, environmental volunteering, and citizen science 2025 They were organized by the Government of Navarra, and they were made possible thanks to the joint involvement of the participating campsites.

At Camping Acedo we will continue to promote environmental education, because we believe that enjoying nature also means protecting it for future generations.
